"I have had the distinct pleasure of working with Lisa in her law practice for the past 6 years. In that time I have seen her transition from a dedicated and knowledgeable attorney and apply those qualities to becoming a personal trainer. I have also had her put me through my fitness paces. I have struggled with my weight for my entire adult life. I decided to seek Lisa's help as I had watched her own dedication to fitness help her overcome stressful situations.
My first week working out with Lisa was very demanding but highly fulfilling. Lisa has never failed to motivate in a caring a positive way. She had me moving and doing things like Yoga and Pilates moves I never thought I could do in a million years! One of the most valuable insights I gained from her is to let go of the "magic number" in my head, there were other ways to measure my fitness success besides the dreaded scale!
The first thing Lisa has all her clients do is a type of test that gives a picture of your current fitness level. After 30 days of training with her you repeat this test and I must say -- I was shocked and thrilled! I had taken almost 3 minutes off my mile in just 1 month -- this was so inspirational to me! I remember every day out on the trail, I would be bringing up the very distant rear of the pack and there would be Lisa...cheering me on with words of encouragement. She never made me feel less and always pushed me to the next level even when I thought I couldn't go another step.
Lisa also introduced me to the power of free weights in connection with weight loss. Women are under a misconception that if you lift weights you will look like a man. Lisa completely dispelled that myth for me and my classmates and every person in every class she taught got a tremendous benefit from learning the correct way to lift weights. We had an 80 year old woman who couldn't lift her arm above her shoulder but 3 months later she was pumping iron with the rest of us!
I greatly miss my dear friend but she remains my "long distance trainer", still encouraging me every step and inspiring me every day!"

"When I first decided to get serious about losing weight and getting fit (in 2006), my first thought was a personal trainer. I believed I couldn’t do anything on my own. I knew Lisa was beginning to do personal training and knew this was my chance to get fit.
The first thing Lisa did was carefully administer physical tests to measure my current abilities. Then we talked about the types of workouts we would be using. After a few months of my first physical activity in years I decided to move on to the group classes she was running.
The groups were great. The people were all motivated and it was such a diverse group. Lisa always made the hour go so quickly with fun exercises, yoga, kick-boxing and stretching. My favorite was the circuit training which included about 15 different exercises we did in a round. Plus, kick boxing was brand new to me and I just loved it. I still do it on my own even a year later!
One of the greatest things about having a personal trainer and great workout leader in Lisa is her positive spirit. And she looks so fantastic you know she is honest in her beliefs about physical training and diet.
Since Lisa left Hot Springs there have been plenty of unhappy people. It took a few months but I realized I could put the techniques and diet that I learned from Lisa to task by myself. So far I have lost 2 inches around my waist and 23 pounds in 8 months.
Anyone who watches Lisa for any amount of time can see that she is passionate about diet and exercise and makes it fun! I would highly recommend her to anyone. Thanks Lisa!"
